Frequently Asked Questions
About the Shop
How are physical books processed and delivered?
Find the book here on my website and follow the links to purchase. You’ll be redirected to Payhip, a sales and payment processor that allows me to link my orders to my printer, Bookvault. All you have to do is fill out your information on Payhip, sit back, and relax. Once your order is received, Bookvault will print your copy and ship it directly to you.
How do eBook purchases work?
You can purchase eBooks directly from my website. You’ll receive an EPUB file that you can import into the e-reader of your choice. The squarespace link expires 24 hours after the first download, so be sure to save your file someplace safe!
How to manually load an EPUB onto an e-reader:
Connect the e-reader to a computer via USB, open the device's drive, and drag the EPUB file into the "Books" or "Documents" folder (whichever one your reader has). Once it’s been copied over, safely eject your e-reader and you should see the book in your library.
Alternatively, if your e-reader supports it, you can use email by sending the EPUB file as an attachment to the device's unique email address.
Do you sell and ship internationally?
Yes! Orders for physical books are processed through Bookvault, which ships worldwide. You can find details about where they ship to and approximate transit times here. If you’re currently occupying an alternate dimension, we may need to work out another shipping method. But I believe in us. We’ll make it work.
Do you offer wholesale orders to bookstores?
Yes I do! I love working with indie bookstores. Reach out to me via my Contact form and let me know how many copies you are interested in, where I’d be shipping them to, and whether you’d like signed copies.
How can I get a signed copy?
I offer signed copies for special editions or events. Subscribe here or to my Liminal Letters Substack to stay in the loop and be first to know when these rare copies will make their next appearance.
Where should I buy from to best support you?
You can buy from wherever is most convenient for you, but buying direct always benefits authors the most. It also helps us build a more personal connection to our readers. If you’re sharing my work, I also encourage you to share my website first over other marketplace links.
How do I reach out for customer service?
Just fill out my Contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Please be patient as it is only myself managing everything here.
About the Books
What genres do you write in?
I write across a multitude of genres, and generally fuse them. You’ll see me play with elements of magical realism, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and literary.
Will there be an audiobook for Shapeshifting Sighs?
Maybe! While there are currently no plans to produce an audiobook, this may be an offering for a future release or special edition. Hiring a narrator is a major expense and self-narrating is an undertaking I don’t presently have capacity for. That said, if you’re eager for an audiobook version, please do let me know. If there is great demand for it, I may be able to work some magic.
Who does the cover art for your books?
I contact individual artists for my cover art and commission original artwork. I do not work with AI or artists who use AI to generate images for them. We need to support creatives, and this is one of the best ways to do so.
Are your books suitable for younger readers?
Some pieces may be suitable for mature teens, but my work is geared to an adult audience as I deal with some serious themes. As one who read adult fantasy novels in grade 3, I’m a believer that anyone can read anything and the reader will take from the piece what they need. If you want to share my work with a younger reader, it’s important to acknowledge that some content may be deemed too dark, heavy, or sexual for them to responsibly process on their own or without some prefacing.
When’s your next book coming out?
That’s a secret! You’ll have to stay tuned!
How do I stay up to date with your next projects?
Sign up for my newsletter or follow my Liminal Letters Substack blog. I don’t post often, so you won’t have to worry about spam. But that’s definitely the best way to stay in the loop and not miss out on important news.
